Im very impressed with the overall design and quality of this iPad case. Im no longer afraid to drop it, have a dog slobber on it, or knock it off the coffee table. Well done, Otterbox!

A Real Mans case

This is a great case! But Ive always been a fan of OtterBox products. When spending this kind of money on a portable computing device (or whatever you want to call it) Its a MUST to have good protection on it! I love the rubberized exterior too. Holds on wonderful on smooth surfaces like the center console in my truck. I highly recommend it!

What a tank!

What an awesome case. This case is exactly what the title says. Its a tank! It took about 5-10 minutes to put the case on with the included instructions.

The case is a bit heavy but thats to be expected when get this kind of protection.

The price can be turn off for some but you dont have to get it from Otterbox. There are other options.

The stand is what completes this case. You can actually use it and have both hands free while typing. Its also enjoyable for movie watching.

This is a must get case. You invested the money on your iPad...why not protect it with this beast?

Best IPad Case on the market

I waited as everyone else did for this case. I purchased my IPad on opening day. I did have the apple case until the best case came in the mail. The Defender case for the IPad is superior to all other cases. It completely protects from drops. Having a hard plastic case surrounded by a rubber outer shell. The hard case that can cover the front of the IPad when not in use protects the glass screen. It also seconds as a stand for the IPad allowing for movie watching. It snaps on the back when you have the IPad on your lap and easily switches over to cover the glass in transport or storage.

The back of the case has a slide out for the dock. This case works with the IPad keyboard docking stand and the dock. All with out taking off the cover. If only they would make the cases for the IPhone 4 with this idea.

The case does make IPad thicker. But the protection and grip the case offers is a must. I did drop my ipad in the case the next day after receiving it from Otter Box. The IPad was in great shape.

Now if you get a splash of liquid on the case your IPad should be safe. You just need to quickly wipe off. The case is not water proof. If its dropped into liquid it will get in.

The case also comes with a clear screen protector. Mine came with a wrinkled up damaged one. Otter Box sent me out a replacement that same day I called their excellent customer Service line.

My entire family has Otter box cases for the IPhones and our IPads. You can not go wrong with this case. I take mine out in the field while doing photography every day. Have yet to have any issues. I know of some boaters asking for a white unit. This would keep the IPad cooler in the sun. The black case does absorb the heat.

They have an excellent warranty and if you have any problems with your case. They will quickly take care of the issue.

Its a must if you have the IPad
