The Griffin Wave for iPhone 3G uses a unique wave lock design to create a snug fit for the iPhone and offer solid protection. The hard plastic case was unique among competitor�s offerings because instead of choosing a slide mechanism to connect the case together, it uses a front piece and a back piece to hold the iPhone.

The Griffin Wave for iPhone 3G is a subtly styled, great feeling case. Griffin really did a good job with the Wave and its unique locking system not only offers a secure fit but also adds to the design. I think if you were looking for a hard case for the iPhone 3G, you couldn�t do much better in regards to look, feel, and all around security than the Griffin Wave.

PERFECT FIT!

Pros: Hard, great fit
Cons: none

Ive tried so many cases that end up being flimsy or cover the camera and shift around - this case is a perfect fit, with hard edges... which is exactly what I need cause I drop my phone. A lot.

Peels off

Cons: matte finish peels off

Ive only had this case for 3 days, Im starting to see the matte finish peel off and what is left is a shiny smooth surface that I dont like. I wanted a hard case with a rubber feeling finish so that it has a nice grip to it. I imagine that the matte finish will be gone completely in 2 weeks or less!

Like the other user on here, I too had the matte finish compeltely flake off within 2 or 3 days. Back it goes!
